How Can You Help?
Advent House is an outreach ministry of the
Perinton Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. We are supported by the
people of the churches and community at large, grants, United Way
Donor Option, special events, memorials and donations.
You can provide financial support by making a
pledge to enable the services of Advent House to continue. This
gift can be made by check or via automatic transfer direct from
your bank. All donations are tax deductible.

There are several ways to
support Advent House.
Advent House conducts four major
fundraisers throughout the year:
Advent House Dinner Dance &
Auction: The 2013 Advent House Dinner
Dance & Auction will be held on SATURDAY, March 23, 2013 at
the MONROE GOLF CLUB, 155 Golf Avenue, Pittsford, NY 14534
from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Don Alhart once again will serve as
our emcee, while Carol Ritter Wright will conduct the Live Auction.
Live Auction items include: an Upscale Log Cabin Vacation week in
Stowe, VT, a Boca Grande Condominium Vacation Week, Cobblestone
Creek Golf Club foursome with lunch, an Eight Hour Chauffeured
Limousine tour with Gourmet Lunch, an iPad 2, an autographed framed
photo of Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit, and a Monet’s Palette
package for four at Mirbeau Spa. Silent Auction items include
MacKenzie Childs Taylor TallFella Stacking Canisters, WII U, Jambox
speakers, a Coach purse, restaurant gift certificates and much, much
more! We invite you to contribute to the success of this event by

Advent House Walk:
The 2013 Advent House Walk will be held on
Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. with registration at noon at the
Kennelley Park Gazebo in the Village of Fairport. The 3.1 mile
route travels north over the Liftbridge to the canal path, west to
Perinton Park, then east on Church Street to Hulburt Avenue,
following Hulburt all the way to Route 250 and finally heads north
to return to the gazebo. The Registration form (click for
registration form) may be printed from this website and brought
to the registration on May 4th or to the Advent House
prior to that date. The Registration Cost for Adult Walkers is
$15.00 and for Student/Child Walkers is $10.00.
Advent House Annual Garage
Sale is a community event and takes place
on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday,
August 24, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the VFW Post #8495, 300
Macedon Center Road, Fairport, NY. Starting in mid-May, donations
of household items can be delivered to Advent House. We do NOT
accept large appliances, clothing, books (except children’s book
and cookbooks), bowling balls, mattresses, TVs, children’s car
seats, VCR tapes or computers. Furniture in good condition
is always welcome. A tax donation certificate will also be provided
to you. Please call Advent House 223-6112 for more information. If
you’d prefer the fun of bargain hunting and finding treasures, then
this is the place to be in August. Plan to join us!
Donations for the Annual Garage
Sale are accepted at the Advent House from May 25, 2013 to August 9,
2013.
Annual Golf Tournament
will be held on September 13, 2013 with a Noon
Shotgun start at Victor Hills Golf Course, 1450 Brace Road, Victor,
NY. This is a scramble format so players of every level are
encouraged to attend. Again, prize donations, advertising and
corporate hole sponsorships are accepted for this event. Fees
include lunch, refreshments, dinner, awards and prizes and great
fun! Why not put together a foursome and join us? Need an

Corporate Support is needed in
the form of sponsors and program advertising. Business can also
support this fundraiser by donating goods and services for our
Silent and Live Auctions. Individuals can volunteer to help
solicit, organize and transport items as well as setup the day of
the event.
